2020 Community Grants Program Recipients

At the June Board meeting, the directors approved Grants for the May 2020 Community Grants Program to eight Niagara-based organizations.

John Dekker, Chair of the Board who also sits on the Grants Committee commented, “Our Grants Committee does a thorough review of each applicant’s request, focusing on how their project impacts their community. With this round of grants more than 30,000 people of all ages from across Niagara will benefit from the projects that we are supporting. Plus, we have been able to support groups in a number of sectors including health and well-being, culture, environmental education as well as search and rescue.”

Organizations receiving grants include:

Learning Disabilities Assoc. of Niagara Furniture for new location at the Pathstone Mental Health facility in St. Catharines $14,000
Port Colborne Operatic Society LED lighting equipment for their use as well as the community’s use $19,100
Project Share Good New Breakfast – title sponsorship $10,000
Welland Legion New windows $14,000
Wellspring Niagara Starry Niagara Gala – Presenting sponsor $10,000
