The Welland Rose Festival’s popular Days in the Park celebration returns to Merritt Park from June 19 to 21, offering three days of live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, community organizations, and attractions for all ages.
Friday, June 19 | 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
The weekend kicks off with an evening of live music at the Merritt Park Amphitheater featuring Hezron, Revolver & Friends Man Band, and Howling Horns.
Saturday, June 20 | 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
A full day of family-friendly entertainment includes appearances by the Dino Boys, De Menezes Reilly Irish Dance, Elsa and Anna, along with live performances by Old School Rewind, Gravely, Damn Animal Band, Under the Influence, and British Legends with Cher. The evening concludes with a fireworks display by Victoria Fireworks at 10 p.m. across the canal behind the amphitheater.
Sunday, June 21
The annual Children’s Fishing Derby begins at 8 a.m. at the Lincoln Docks and is open to youth ages 15 and under. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing rod and bucket; worms will be provided.
The Grand Parade takes place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., travelling north on King Street and featuring special guests Maple Jam. Following the parade, entertainment continues at Merritt Park with performances by Hard Rock Hooligans, a Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach Dance Party, and Dr. Feelgood.
All Weekend Long
Visitors can also enjoy the return of Black Rock Climbers, featuring a 52-foot inflatable obstacle course, rock climbing wall, bouncy castle, and additional family attractions.
Additional vendors, performers, and community groups have been added since May, making this year’s festival one of the largest celebrations yet. Admission is free, and everyone is invited to come out and enjoy a weekend of community spirit, entertainment, and summer fun in Welland.
